Merry Christmas

     Frohe Wiehnachten!!
     I am studying in German now in our apartment and this sentence means "Merry Christmas" in German.
     Christmas is one of my favorite festivals in one year. I love this day because I think it is a warm and sweet festival. And there are always lots of activities that we do to celebrate Christmas, such as, exchanging gifts, Christmas party. And this year we freshman played a special game called"小天使小主人". We (小天使) had to care for our boss (小主人) every day or every two or three days. We could write cards or buy some food for he or she. But we had to hide ourselves well and should not let our boss know who we were. I thought it was an very interesting and exciting game and this game could make we classmates get closer. We knew our angel in the afternoon of Christmas. A lot of surprising things happened and it was very fun. Everyone laughed~~~~~~~~~
     By the way, the Christmas party in our department was fun, too. We all had a happy time that night!!
     I thought it was really a "Merry Christmas" this year!!

One act play

     There have been preparing for an one act play of freshman to senior in our department recently. And yesterday was the date of the play really on. I thought I see three amazing performances.
     We freshman's play was named "Gun Violence". And it happened in a court. Many classmates in our class acted in the play, such as Doris, Yvonne and Liang. They were good actors and made breakthough of themselves. For example, Doris and Yvonne acted a man.
     It was very happy to see this one act play finished in happy ending because all actors, staffs and the director have given a lot of effort and passion to it. Especially the director, Tony Wu. Everyday during this play he was very busy. He was a great and responsible director.
     By the way, Yvonne acted as a judge in this play and she got the award of the best supporting actor!!!!! She was an excellent actor~~~~~~~~~~ I love you "your honor".

Live house

     I went to a live performance of katncandix2(棉花糖) last weekend in Taichung.
     Katncandix2 is a two-person group. The vocal's name is 小球 and the guitar's name is 沈聖哲. Both of them can compose music and they create most of their songs by themselves. I love 小球 very much. She is a very cute girl with special ideas and lovely sound. She can always "sing" her thought to others. Her songs always cheer me up. Not only by her voice but also the lyrics of the songs. The lyrics are very inspiring and can always give the listeners courages and power.
     I have seen a few concerts before but this is my first time go to a Live House. I am a big fan of Kpop stars, Super Junior and Bigbang. And I think the shows between SJ and BB are quite different from Katncandix2's performance. For example the area and the number of the auidience. And these differences can lead to different feelings of the show. To me, small places can make me feel closer to my idols.
    By the way, I want to introduce one song of katncandix2. It is called 你的肩膀我的遠方. Every time I listen to this song, I can't help but cry. The lyrics are very touching and make me think of my parents. I miss them and want to go home immediately. When hearing 小球's live of this song, my tears dropped right away. Mid-term......................

     This week and next week are Mid-term weeks. This is my first mid-term in college. We freshmen are nervous and anxious because we don't have the experience of taking exams in college and we have no idea how will the professors test us. Everybody goes to the library all day and all night because of the exams. And me,too.
     We had our mid-term in the lesson, Introduction to Western Literature this Monday. Wow......that was really a shock to me because I have never  had this type of test before. We had to write down essays or one paragragh of some questions. It was very different from tests in high school, which we only had to chose A,B,C,D instead of writing down lots of sentences and words on our paper.
     There are still lots of courses which will have mid-term exams after today, and that make me feel worried. And after this time, I think I have to change some of my ways on studying.
     I hope I can get "all pass" on my mid-term.

The most famous holiday in my hometown

     I think Chinese New Year is the most famous holiday in my hometown. We always mention this holiday when it comes to the most important and well-known holiday in Taiwan.
This holiday is for people to get together with their family, and get some rest in the vacation to welcome the coming new year. We always have a great meal with delacacies. And after the meal, parents will give their children red envelopes.
     I love this holiday very much. During the spring break in Chinese New Year, my family and I always leave for Changhua to my grandma's home. Our whole family, including my mom's siblings, my cousins, all my aunts and uncles will be there and celebrate the holiday together. We seldom meet each other in other days but in Chinese New Year. I love the time we all get together. I like to play with my little cousins and find them grow up faster than last year I saw them. I like to play cards, watch TV, eat breakfast and lunch and dinner with my cousins and my family. And I like to chat with my uncles and aunts, listening to their experience.
    To me, Chinese New Year is a simple but warm holiday. I love the moments my family and I get together very much.

I remembered listening this song when I was in junior high school. Our music teacher played this song and told us this was his favorite song. That was the first time I heard the song.

Why do I recall the memory? It is because our department is going to chorus this song in the contest this Wednesday.

We have practiced this song many times recently. I love the warm song very much, too. Everytime I listen to you raise me up, the people who really raise me up come to my mind. My friends and my family, they always give me strength and let me be strong when I encounter challenges. I love them and appreciate them with all my heart. They raise me up...to more than I can be.

I'm sick!!!!!!!

Oh no! I am sick again.

The weather is changeable in Taichung now. Winter is coming. It is always very hot in the morning and become very cold at night here, but my body still can't get used to this and I think it might be one of the reasons why I get sick.
I went to see a doctor this afternoon, and it was my first time in Taichung. Wow I only paid 50 dollars, it was quite cheaper than Taipei!

I hate to be sick.
I hate to catch a cold.
I hate to have a sore throat.
I hate to keep coughing.
I hate to blow my nose all day.
I hate to have a blocked nose.
I hate to take medicine.

Please! Can these annoying things just stop?
I hope I can recover soon.

A recent trip

   I took a three-day trip with my high school classmates this summer vacation and there were twenty one people in total. We went to lots of places in Ilan, such as International Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival and Luo Dong Night Market. It was my first time to  Luo Dong Night Market and I loved the 包心粉圓 there! And there were full of children in International Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival but we still felt very interesting and gained much pleasure.
   Actually after the graduation trip, our class decided to take a trip again after the entrance exam. And that was the reason why we had this trip. We just wanted to go on a trip together again!
   It was a great and memorable trip. Every time I recall it, I can't help but smile. I remembered the night all of us stayed in one room in the hotel together. We chatted, played games, watched TV, sang songs, danced………there was filled with laughter that night and to me, it was the most unforgettable memory in this trip. I would keep these three days in my mind for good and I hope I can go on a trip with them once more in the future. 

Chung Hsing University

This is my third week in Chung Hsing University.

Actually I'm still not familiar with the campus.

I rememered the first week I stayed here. I almost got lost......I think roads in our school are very similar. But now, I can go in the right direction!!

I am trying to make myself get used to the new life here. New friends and classmates, new teachers and professors, new teaching ways and studying ways......there are lots of NEW things! And also I have to be accustomed to living in the domitory. Now who live with me are my roommates but not my dear parents and brother. I have to take care of me by myself.

I am curious about everything in the college. (Except the birds in the campus!Oh I hate birds very much!!I think they are the most horrible creature in the world.)

And I hope I can make good use of my time and be a positive, diligent and responsible student in the future.
