This week and next week are Mid-term weeks. This is my first mid-term in college. We freshmen are nervous and anxious because we don't have the experience of taking exams in college and we have no idea how will the professors test us. Everybody goes to the library all day and all night because of the exams. And me,too.
We had our mid-term in the lesson, Introduction to Western Literature this Monday. Wow......that was really a shock to me because I have never had this type of test before. We had to write down essays or one paragragh of some questions. It was very different from tests in high school, which we only had to chose A,B,C,D instead of writing down lots of sentences and words on our paper.
There are still lots of courses which will have mid-term exams after today, and that make me feel worried. And after this time, I think I have to change some of my ways on studying.
I hope I can get "all pass" on my mid-term.
Indeed, the exams in college are quite different from those in high school, and essay questions are often my headache. I think what professors expect from students is what they really learn from their classes, instead of merely memorizing the texts. I have to say that sometimes taking an essay exam just feels like fighting a battle. Cheer up! Hope you can do well on your mid-term and then have a nice weekend.
